研究表明，每天有近10万人感染病毒

伦敦帝国理工学院的这项研究说，疫情的蔓延速度正在加快，估计感染人数现在每九天就翻一番。两位作者表示，我们正处于一个“关键阶段”，“必须做出一些改变”。

这项研究将10月16日至25日最新采集的棉签与9月18日至10月5日的棉签进行了比较。该研究发现，平均而言，伦敦的每一个感染者都将病毒传染给了另外近三个人——尽管这个数字有些不确定，但估计的传染率在英国是最高的。

研究员还表明:
