 "R"值 病毒的再生值是国际医疗界用来监测病毒转播速度的一个数值。再生值越高，病毒传播速度越快。当病毒再生值在1以上时，病毒的传播速度会成几何状增长。当再生值小于1时，病毒的传播则会越来越少，最后逐渐消失。

最新数据显示，英国冠状病毒繁殖率(R)略有下降，降至1.2-1.4。上周来自政府科学顾问SAGE的估计是1.3-1.5。这一数字为1.2-1.4，意味着平均有10人将病毒传染给12-14人。如果这个数字低于1，病毒将最终消失。

  • 布里斯托大学的学生抗议，准备不交房租


住在布里斯托大学宿舍的数百名学生举行大规模抗议活动，准备不交房租。学生要求减租，约1100名学生对校方缺乏对自我隔离的学生的支持感到愤怒。此次抗疫活动组织方希望，如果学生们想要搬出去住，他们可以选择不履行租房合同（一般而言不履行合同搬出去，是需要交纳房租的）。但是大学表示，他们已经“提供超出了所能承受范围的支持”。同学们已经在上周五向校方提出了要求，那就是剩余时间住宿费用减免30%。


小组成员、法学院一年级学生Josefina Nagler Gomez表示，校方鼓励学生们留在布里斯托进行“混合学习”——即面对面教学和在线教学的结合。但她说，她还没有面对面接受任何教育。她觉得:“除了房租方面，人文关怀是非常欠缺的。” 当她需要自我隔离10天的时候，学校并没有一开始就送来食物。
